If a cow ever got the chance...

Okay, indulge me for a minute here: has anyone out there heard of / made / been addicted to Puppy Chow? (The link is to the Chex website, which insists on calling it "Muddy Buddies".) This is the ultimate snack of my childhood, and no one seems to have heard of it. Might be a white-trash thing. You toss Crispix in a mixture of melted margarine, peanut butter, and chocolate chips, then put the resulting delicious glop in a paper bag with powdered sugar and shake the bag to coat the Crispix. It's addictive and absolutely disgusting and has no redeeming virtues.

In related news, there is powdered sugar all over the kitchen and my stomach hurts.

I may not be updating much this week (and not at all next week), as it is almost time for the long-awaited Michigan vacation. We're leaving at like 4 a.m. on Saturday and before that I have to put in 40 hours at work, 5 or 6 hours on the stupid el, somehow make my apartment clean (may not happen), pack, make lentil and barley soup so I have something to eat all week, launder everything, and go to the doctor for blood tests on two separate occasions (one of which has yet to be scheduled) to fulfill the preliminary requirements of the acupuncture study; I'm super-healthy but they want numerical confirmation. If anything interesting happens (i.e., anything not on the above list, because those things emphatically don't qualify), it will show up here.
