If a cow ever got the chance...

Today has been such a happy and peaceful day, other than the part where I drank the expired orange juice and had stomach cramps for an hour... Seriously, I spent the entire day in bed drinking tea and going through Hunt's Guide to Michigan's Upper Peninsula, hunting down interesting bed-and-breakfasts and local museums and bakeries and agate beaches for our upcoming vacation. I am so excited about this. C and I are going during 4th of July week. It is not the most cosmopolitan of vacation spots, but dammit, I want to see nature. I want to see plants whose names I do not know and wild blueberries and agates and sand dunes and Lake Superior. I do not want to see people, casinos, subways, Fox SportsNet, or sauteed arugula. We'll take a cooler and have bread and jam picnics on the beach.

This afternoon I also wrote a big long entry about this anorexic girl I used to know, but I decided it was too mean-spirited to post. Especially today, when everything has been so calm and lovely and I have only gotten three phone calls the whole day and the Simpsons is about to start. Unfortunately, that entry was better-written and more interesting than this one.

Okay, I just drank more of the orange juice. It was a bad idea. I think I'll dump it out now.
