If a cow ever got the chance...

Thanks--many of them--to everyone who signed the guestbook or left a note or sent general sympathetic vibes about Mira. You guys definitely occupy a loving and peaceful corner of Diaryland... I wasn't going to write about her at all because I thought it was weird to be so sad (I mean--she wasn't really my dog, the last time I lived at home was the summer she was a puppy), but it helped. On Saturday I almost put her name on something called a Bridgelist of pets that have recently died, but the site had so much heavenly sky blue and healing rainbows--and worst of all, the phrase "Add Your Furbaby"--that I just couldn't do it. I really think she would have bitten me.

Now I must either do three loads of laundry and wash the dishes, or lie on the mattress with a glass of wine and watch The Graduate again. What a decision.
