I'm all duh-duh today. Nothing's wrong, in fact things are pretty good, but I just have no energy. I sort of feel like lying in bed and having people bring me things, but for many reasons this will not be happening. I started taking iron pills yesterday--probably as an excuse to also take those chewable berry-flavored Vitamin C wafers to help with the iron absorption. Those things are GOOD.

No, seriously, when I start fantasizing about taking a bite of my mom's liver-and-onions (favorite dish of my childhood), you know something is very wrong. I don't even like having meat in my house (and have been known to make C use plastic cutlery when he brings takeout home), so wanting to eat it, however briefly, has to be a sign of some sort of horrible anemic imbalance. Normally I never have these cravings.

Cyril sent me a gracious apology and now I feel like a big jerk. Still haven't written him back.

Thanks to all the freelance stuff I did last year I ended up owing $420 on my taxes. There was no way I had the money to pay this--until payday yesterday I had like $3.10 in my checking account--but my dad wrote me a check. Am not sure if I'm expected to pay him back because I'm too embarrassed to ask, but I suspect not. Must remember to put him in a nice nursing home when the time comes, not that crappy one we saw on 60 Minutes.

Sorry, that was a Simpsons joke. We probably shouldn't have been allowed to watch the Simpsons in our impressionable youth. At one of her family birthday parties, my sister, aged like 4 or 5, suddenly stood up during a lull in the conversation and yelled, "It's a PORNOGRAPHY STORE! I was buying PORNOGRAPHY!" A direct quote from this classic episode, with no context whatsoever. My mom was all mortified, which of course was the Pinoid's intention. She was pretty evil for a five-year-old. It was hilarious.
