Attempted to flirt with the gorgeous cashier at Whole Foods Lakeview (where all the cashiers are gorgeous; perhaps it is written into the hiring policy)--to be more specific, the guy I mean has a three-foot-diameter Afro and a nose ring. However I was too ill to say more than the equivalent of bleh, whereupon he said I "sounded nasal today" and recommended the echinacea tea. Another quality interaction!

C is apparently making the trek back across the city, so perhaps Renga-Tei will figure into my supper plans. Nothing could be more appealing right now than miso soup and green tea.
