It's been awhile, and I don't know that I have too much to say this time either. Have been kinda depressed, hiding. Today was much better: walked 6.5 miles, had a kick-ass lunch in the middle of that, and searched the Broadway Antique Market in search of an Xmas present for El Butcho. Sadly, everything there--while lovely and obviously well vetted--has at least a $25 to $50 dollar markup. Then I walked home through Andersonville, which continues to be a lovely neighborhood (already gentrified and therefore can't really be despoiled by yuppies, unlike Uptown for instance)--wish I'd taken more advantage of it when I lived nearby.

C is in Minneapolis this weekend for his job. We've been talking on the phone a lot (and via his e-mail pager). We get along so much better when one of us is in another state (which is the way it was when we met, actually). I told him this was a horrible problem--since I'll never be able to acquire another significant other while he and i are speaking five times a day--and he took exception to the word "horrible". So that's how it is right now.

Licking the back of one's CDs is not the best way to get them to stop skipping. The best way would probably be to take better care of them in the first place.

Still working on the latest freelance thing, which is about the Detroit Tigers' World Series-winning 1984 season. Very well-written (and therefore not much for me to do), but I must inquire: Why?

So what do you want for Xmas?
