If I had a small child, I would definitely homeschool it. Because you know what would be really funny? I would teach it all the correct basic math skills like fractions and the multiplication tables, but I would teach them in base eight instead of base ten. I would never even hint that in the real world, ten squared is a hundred, and nine plus eight is seventeen. (I wouldn't let it make change.) It would grow up thinking that the number that comes after 7, is 10.

Then I would send it to public school.
